Looking to date African men? Start with Kenya
Africa is 54 countries, so we won't pretend to cover them all. This site is about one: Kenya, in East Africa. If you'd like to meet men from there, you can get to know real people rather than a stereotype.
Why people start with Kenya
English is an official language alongside Swahili, so you can usually talk easily from the start. Kenya has long ties with Europe and North America through work, study and family, and many Kenyans have relatives abroad. Nairobi is also one of East Africa's main business and travel hubs.
As anywhere, the men here are very different from each other. Their profiles tell you about their work, faith, family and plans, which is a better guide than anything we could say about a continent.
What it costs you
Looking at profiles from outside Kenya is free, with no account. To see someone's other photos and contact them, create a free account and confirm your email. That shows WhatsApp, phone and email for up to 20 members a day, and you never pay per message.
Dating across a distance
Video-call often, then plan a visit, and meet his family and friends when you do. Talk early about where you'd both want to live, children, faith and money.
Never send money, airtime, gift cards or "visa fees" to someone you've met online, however genuine they seem. Video-call before you trust anyone, meet in a public place, and report anything that feels wrong to us.
Common questions
Does this site cover men from all of Africa?

Is it safe to date someone in Africa online?
It's as safe as you make it, as with online dating anywhere. Video-call before you trust anyone, never send money, and meet in public when you visit. Our safety guide lists the warning signs.
